Located in One Loudoun, Steuart W. Weller Elementary will open its doors in 2008.   One Loudoun is 3 miles from Dulles International Airport and 25 miles from the Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C.  On May 22, 2007, the Loudoun County School Board approved the name suggested for ES-19.   Alternate names included Weller – Peterson Elementary School and Kilgour’s Mill Elementary School.  Steuart W. Steuart Weller was the owner of a local tiling business who volunteered in the schools and as a firefighter.    Mr. Weller was a member of Fire Department Company 6 in Ashburn.  He also volunteered his time and service to the local Scouts and youth sports teams.  Mr. Weller was a long-time resident of the county who was unofficially known as the “Mayor of Ashburn.”  Mr. Weller’s bride of 57 years, Gracie, still resides in Ashburn.   One of Mr. Weller’s favorite sayings was, “Children are our future.   We need to take care of them.”
