Each month the members of the Ashburn Kids Book Club read and discuss one award-winning chapter book. This blog has been created to share information about the books and authors we discuss in the book club. It also serves to link children to other kid-friendly web resources such as author websites and Loudoun County Public Library databases.

The Ashburn Mad Scientists' Club is an informal gathering of young scientists who explore different topics through recreational activities, experiments, and book talks. Every year, the Virginia State Reading Association sponsors the Virginia Readers’ Choice Awards Program. Each month we'll read one or two of the 2008-2009 Virginia Readers' Choice nominees, as well as a past winner. This blog shares information about each month's books and activities, and tracks the "popularity score" we assign to the books we read.
