George Mason University, Loudoun Campus
The goal of George Mason University's Loudoun County operation is to provide courses that will introduce the Loudoun-area workforce and residents to study in a number of exciting areas, while offering current students a local option toward completion of degree program requirements. The school offers course work in nursing, health science, education, social work, information technology, and management, along with undergraduate general education courses. Full programs are available in several fields.

The George Washington University Virginia Campus
Situated on 95 acres in the heart of the Northern Virginia technology region, The George Washington Virginia Campus is GW's flagship research and technology campus. Committing the very best that GW has to offer in engineering, management and technology, the University established the campus in 1991 with a charter to become an integral participant in the development and growth of the technology sector in the Washington, D.C. region and beyond.

The Loudoun Campus is also home to several unique programs of study,including horticulture technology, historic preservation,veterinary technology, web casting audio, and web design.

The center, located in Sterling, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the educational needs of adult students and working professionals, offering undergraduate (upper-level classes),graduate, certificate, and professional development programs.In addition to traditional instruction, the Center provides access to sophisticated University distance learning courses,including those offered through video-conferencing, videostreaming, satellite-delivery, and the web. Old Dominion University is a state-supported regional university, with the main campus located in Norfolk, Virginia. The University has earned a reputation for its pursuit of excellence in education.

Opened in the fall of 2000, Patrick Henry College is the only private, 4-year, residential college in the county. Patrick Henry focuses on providing higher education with a biblical worldview using apprenticeship methodology. Its goal is to aid in the transformation of American society by training Christian students for careers of public service and cultural influence.

The university is located on Route 7 in Leesburg. Programs at this campus focus on business, technology, education and school administration, and nursing. Going beyond the traditional skills-based learning, Shenandoah integrates such topics as work ethic, team-building, problem solving, change management and decision-making into all programs.
