What local resources are available to help me start a business in Loudoun County?  What if I own a small business and need help with marketing, finances, or hiring? Fortunately, there are many local organizations you can turn to for guidance and assistance. 

 

The Department of Economic Development provides numerous publications, demographics and statistics information and even one-on-one consultation to help new, prospective and current business owners.

 

 

 

 

The Loudoun County Small Business Development Center, a not-for-profit organization consisting of a full-time staff, Board of Directors and a strong core of volunteers, has been aiding small businesses since 1987.

 

  • The Entrepreneurial Resource Center offers business start-up guides, current periodicals, videos, books and publications on an array of business subjects.  There are two computer workstations and a printer that clients may use to conduct market research, create business plans, evaluate their company's financial statements, and more.
     
  • The Loudoun SBDC also offers free and confidential counseling for small business entreprenuers.  Dedicated volunteers will meet one-on-one to assist and guide new and prospective business owners. Call 703-430-7222 to arrange an appointment.
     

 

The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1968, has grown to become the largest Chamber of Commerce in Northern Virginia. More than 1,300 members form the network of businesses and community leaders. The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce assists members in the areas of networking, marketing, leadership and knowledge.

 

 

The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center is available if you're looking for space to conduct interviews, get help with recruitment assistance, free job advertising, or assistance with downsizing. The LWRC provides free services to both businesses and job seekers. Businesses may also advertise job openings at no charge.
